About the Conference
This will be the 20th International conference in the biennial series that began in 1968
as a Conference on the Use of Small Accelerators for Teaching and Research by Jerry Duggan,
while he was a staff member at Oak Ridge Associated Universities.
When Jerry joined the staff at the University of North Texas (UNT) in Denton, Texas,
he continued the Conference series in 1974, holding the meeting on the UNT campus.
It then became known the International Conference on the Application of Accelerators in Research and Industry (CAARI).
CAARI brings together scientists from all over the world who use particle accelerators in their research and industrial applications. The CAARI conference can be considered a collection of symposia for the following topics:
Accelerator Technology
Atomic Physics
Education
Focused Ion Beams
National and Homeland Security
Ion Beam Analysis
Ion Beam Modification
Medical Applications
Nano-Scale Fabrication
Nuclear-Based Analysis & Studies
Nuclear Physics
PIXE
Radiation Effects
Before submitting an abstract, please consult the preliminary session listing.
We may also do a little

or a little

and a lot more
PLEASE JOIN US AT THE RENAISSANCE WORTHINGTON HOTEL
IN FORT WORTH, TEXAS
The official language of the conference is English.
The Proceedings of CAARI-2008 will be published by Elsevier as a special issue of Nuclear Instruments and Methods in Physics Research B (NIMB).
