Special Events

Welcome Reception

All participants and accompanying persons are cordially invited to attend an informal reception. It will be held Sunday, August 8, in Brazos I & II (mezzanine level) from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

Poster Presentations

Poster presentations will be held Monday through Wednesday from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm and will include a networking social with hors d’oeuvres and entertainment. The poster presentation on Thursday will be held from 3:30 pm to 5:30 pm. All posters will be displayed and remain on boards during the entire week. Poster sessions and socials will be held in the Rio Grande Room (lower level). 

Accompanying Persons Outing

The companions will meet on Tuesday, August 10, at 9:30 am in the RW Hotel lobby to board the bus. The first stop will be at the Amon Carter Museum where you will have a guided tour of two exhibits. After visiting the museum, it’s on to the University Park Village for shopping and lunch, returning to the Hotel around 2:00 pm.

 

Topic Editors Meeting

The Topic Editors will meet on Tuesday, August 10, at 7:00 pm in the Treaty Oak Boardroom to discuss and make referee assignments for manuscripts. More information will be in your registration packet.

Student Appreciation Event

A Student Appreciation event for students 21 years and over will be held on Wednesday, August 11, at 7:30 pm in 8.0 Restaurant and Bar. 8.0 features the best live music in Fort Worth and is located in the historic Sundance Square, a short walk from the hotel. More information will be in your registration packet.

Conference Banquet

The Conference Banquet is scheduled for Thursday, August 12, from 6:00 pm to 10:30 pm and will be held in the Grand Ballroom (mezzanine level). Please indicate your attendance and meal choice in your Registration.

Closing Ceremony

All participants and accompanying persons are invited to attend the closing ceremony. It will be held Friday, August 13, in Grand Ballroom Foyer at 1:00 pm.
