All participants and accompanying persons are cordially invited to attend an informal reception. It will be held Sunday, August 10, at the Renaissance Worthington Hotel on the mezzanine level, in Brazos I & II, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
Poster presentations will be held Monday from 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm and Thursday from 3:30 pm to 5:30 pm. Poster presentations that include a networking social with heavy hors d’oeuvres will be held Tuesday and Wednesday from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm. All posters will be displayed and remain on boards through Thursday. Posters and socials will be held in the Rio Grande Room (lower level).
All participants and accompanying persons are invited to CAARI’s first Conference Outing, which includes entertainment, dinner and speaker. The outing will be held on Monday, August 11, at Stockyards Station – in the heart of the Fort Worth Stockyards. We will board the buses at 4:45 pm (following the poster session) and return to the hotel by 10:00 pm. Bring your hats and boots for a Honky Tonk good time with the Cosmic Cowboys band! We will need an accurate headcount for this event (which is included in your registration fee), so please indicate your attendance in the Registration pages.
The companions will meet on Tuesday, August 12, at 8:30 am in the RW Hotel lobby to board the bus. The first stop will be at the National Cowgirl Museum and Hall of Fame, and the Fort Worth Museum of Science & Industry. After visiting the museums, it’s on to the University Park Village for shopping and lunch, returning to the Hotel around 3:00 pm. This event is included in your registration fee.
The Topic Editors will meet on Tuesday, August 12, at 6:30 pm in the Treaty Oak Boardroom to discuss and make referee assignments for manuscripts.
A Student Appreciation event will be held on Wednesday, August 13, at 7:30 pm, in 8.0 Restaurant and Bar. 8.0, featuring the best live music in Fort Worth, is located in the historic Sundance Square, a short walk from the hotel. More information will be in your registration packet.
All Topic Editors and Session Chairs are invited to meet with Del and Barney to discuss plans for CAARI 2010 on Wednesday, August 13, at 9:30 pm. Information will be distributed in your Registration Packet.
The Conference Banquet is scheduled for Thursday, August 14, from 6:00 pm to 10:30 pm and will be held in the Worthington Grand Ballroom (mezzanine level). Please indicate your attendance in the Registration pages.
Entertainment and dancing will be provided by the Cosmic Cowboys band.
All participants and accompanying persons are cordially invited to attend the closing ceremony. It will be held Friday, August 15, at the Hotel in Rio Grande Room (lower level) at 4:15 pm.
